Re: PHP and MySQL on Darwin and Mac OS X

As far as I know, PHP is present in the default install. It may not be
enabled by default - check your httpd.conf file. If I'm wrong on any of
this, I think Stepwise (http://www.stepwise.com) has very convenient build
and enable instructions.

If you're interested in the most up-to-date version of these for OS-X, I
recommend checking out http://www.entropy.ch/software/macosx/, where a
generous soul has OS-X installers built for these and a lot of other
database related software.

I've just recently taught myself to use this combination to serve up some
mouse genomics information, so if you're interested in details on how to
handle any annoying details, feel free to mail me off list.

Cheers,

Jay
