RE: [OT] OpenBSD on PPC.

You have to have a BSD disklabel on that partition. I know the OpenBSD
isntaller on let you do it.

This might be OT, and for that I apologize. But, I couldn't think of any
better place to seek assistance.

I'm trying to install OpenBSD on a Mac, and are having some difficulties.
I boot into Open Firmware and boot from the boot loader by using:
Boot hd:9,bsd
It then starts the boot loader, when the boot loader finishes loading, I get
prompted for what disk to install on. I chose wd0, which I know is the
correct. Then I get an error message:
'wd0: No label'
And it panics:
'panic: Size of root partition is 0'

I can see when the boot loader is loading, that wd0 is actually recognized.
So, I'm pretty sure this is because I can't label it correctly.

I've tried several ways of setting the label for disk0s9(which is the
partition), with pdisk(HFS partition), and 'newfs -Ov OpenBSD /dev/disk0s9'
(UFS partition)

But, I get the same error messages every time.
I've tried various forums, IRC channels etc. But, it doesn't seem like the
OpenBSD community is to experienced with Macs.

If anyone have any insight, I would happy to hear it.
If not, I will silently continue searching :)
Thank you for your time.

Tor

PS: I only want to install OpenBSD to familiarize myself with some of the
differences vs. Darwin. :)
