Christian raises an excellent question. Any thoughts on if / when Darwin (and thus OS X) will have https WebDAV Client connectivity built-in?

I have a an OS X Server machine running Apache with mod_dav for a WebDAV Realm that is also SSL-enabled, but any other Darwin-based / OS X client machine can not connect securely such as in the Finder of a Mac OS X Client selecting:

Go --> Connect to Server --> https://myThirdLevelDomain/myWebDAVRealm

However, an SSL *disabled* realm works just great as in:

Go --> Connect to Server --> http://myThirdLevelDomain/myNonSSL_WebDAVRealm

reason(252): SSL_R_UNKNOWN_PROTOCOL

Is mount_webdav not ssl-enabled?

Just to complicate the situation the server is behind a firewall with https portforwarded...

It would be nice to offer clients using Mac OS X to use the native builtin interface...
