OSX or Darwin

Hello,

I have a G4 400 (AGP) that I want to use as a server runnin Apache/mod_perl and MySQL. I don't want to use OS X Server on this machine because of the $$.

I was wondering if Darwin will offer me a better performance than OS X on such a machine, or if it doesn't matter (both will run with the same performance).
