I couldn't find this information anywhere, so i'm asking you: are Darwin and MacOSX drivers compatible? I'm planning to buy an iBook next week and I would like to use a Free (as in freedom) operating system. Unfortunately, there's no Airport Express driver for anything except MacOSX. If i could use that same driver in Darwin, my problem would be solved. Is that possible?

Since you get a licensed Mac OS X version with your iBook, you could copy the needed kext onto the Darwin installation. However, you would have no way of configuring your driver, since there is no userland tool available.
The free as in freedom aspect will likely not be met by Darwin, btw. (searching the net will reveal lots of informations about that)
