Could just be a MacBook Pro issue, but sound disappears once in a
while, but only from selected applications (iTunes will play fine,
mail has no sound)... After a quick google search, one site
recommended opening Garage Band, using the keyboard window to hit a
few keys, and then quitting, and the sound comes back (don't ask me
why)... That's all that I have seen...
