Are you thinking about remote or local scanners? For remote scanning I have
always used Nessus (http://www.nessus.org/), it's fairly up to date and
catches most issues. In the past when I used to work on H.323, SIP, and
other related devices I actually wrote my own plugins to scan for
vulnerabilities in the software I was writing and/or using and it worked
quite well for that.
