Bob, No. Reading into your question, I am assuming that your need is to remotely shutdown a machine that is in TDM ? My only suggested alternative would be to leverage the "Restart automatically after Power Failure" in the System Preference--> Energy Saver. If you have the luxury of remotely managing power to the outlet (PDU), you could turn the power OFF an then ON for that outlet and the system would then automatically restart.
