[Fed-Talk] CAC Login and Active Directory

I would like to enable CAC login for Macintosh with Mac¹s that authenticate
using Active Directory.

Can this be done WITHOUT the addition of third-party software?

I am aware of the CAC for AdmitMac beta, but since we do not have ADmitMac
deployed and since it is still beta software, that does not appear to be an
option.

We have already been able to get CAC login working with local accounts and
with the CAC for AdmitMac beta, but the Active Directory piece always breaks
the CAC login for us.

I have reviewed and applied the steps outlined in Shawn Geddis¹s
documentation (which also appeared briefly in an Apple knowledge base
article: <http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304035> that has
since been removed). However, the steps to enable CAC card login via Active
Directory do not work in our environment. We have tried both adding the
hash of the public key via the ³sc_auth² script and by using the
cacloginconfig.plist. Neither work for us.

Any assistance or insight into making this happen without third-party
software would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ruben
