OT: setting the startup keyboard...

List Fellows,

I know this is off-topic but I recently had to reinstall Mac OS X and made, in
my case, the fatal mistake of selecting "US" as the keyboard.

You see, I touch-type Dvorak. (If you don't, you should give it a try... it
cured my RTS.) The option to pick Dvorak is given if one clicks on the "Show
All" checkbox to choose an alternate keyboard map. I did not in my haste to get
back to work. Now, the logon screen is presented and I have to awkwardly type my
logon id and password. (Note, this is the selection made during installation,
near the very beginning... it is not what is chosen in the Internationalization
control panel from System Preferences. The "runtime" keyboard is fine, it's the
logon keyboard that's the problem.)

Does anyone know if there is a .plist file that I can edit to fix this? If so,
what the key and value would be? I would like to avoid a reinstall to fix
this...

Thanks for whatever help anyone can provide and the patience for fielding this
question.

Sincerely,
Tim
