Re: java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError

Here's a question for the guys at Apple (who are very responsive on this list, you guys get 3 pounds of praise for that! You have to share though!! ;-))

Sun's Java code is essentially available in source code for anyone now. It has been very helpful for me from time to time when I had to figure out what exactly a certain class was doing. Documentation goes only that far as we all know ...

Are there any plans at Apple to also release the source code for the MacOS port, and the MacOS-specific extensions? I'm not necessarily asking for the right to make modifications (let's not start a discussion on that one, we all know the pros and cons of that), just like Sun limits the types of modifications one can make and distribute, but just the ability to look at the code.

Cheers,

Johannes.

Here's a poser... I'm suddenly getting this error message:

java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError
at
com.apple.mrj.JManager.JMAppletViewerImpl.<init>(JMAppletViewerImpl.java)

which is telling me something funky is going on inside JManager, but I
can't tell what.

Can anyone help...? What would cause this error especially in that
particular class...?

Thanks!
