Re: hwaccel sample?

Gerard Ziemski posted details on the state of hwaccel over the weekend. I
and maybe others have reposted it in answer to this question. Check the
archives for this mailing list and you'll find it. The answer is long and
there's no need to keep reposting this FAQ since it's easy to find in the
recent archives. Look for the subject "Java2D hardware acceleration
comments".

There naturally has been discussion about this in a number of other threads
as well. And those are in the archives covering the past week as well.
