If an application has multiple frames, and only one of them contains a heavy
weight component, is HW accel turned off for all frames, or just the one
that has the heavy weight component?

In my case I have QTCanvas(es) and Applet(s) that come and go in my main
JFrame from time to time and I wouldn't want to lose HW accel permanently.
Will HW accel return as soon as the heavy weight components are removed?
