Install Shield vs InstallAnywhere

It has come to my attention that the JGL installer which failed so miserably on MacOS X was actually created via InstallShield, rather than InstallAnywhere. The IA team pointed out that none of their installers would have failed on MacOS X since shortly after the introduction of the new OS.

While I still have serious philosophical disagreements with the vast majority of installers, (such as trusting someone with admin rights to my system, even if just for an install), it would not be fair to blame IA for the negative experience produced by IS.

I have encouraged Zero G to send a copy of their product to RecursionSW, in hopes that if Recursion were going to use an installer, they could at least use one that works on a Mac.
