This morning I downloaded the new Mozilla 1.1 build to run it under
Jaguar. It seems to crash whenever it accesses a page with a Java
applet. Anyone else have this problem?

I can confirm this with a simple Hello applet:
http://segal.org/Hello/
Maybe that is why javaEnabled in Mozilla 1.1 reports as false:
http://segal.org/enabled/

The Applet works fine for me (on 6C106). JavaEnabled is still false.
Mozilla is Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020824

Is there some new MRJPlugin we are should use? There is no mention of doing
something special for Jaguar at:
http://homepage.mac.com/pcbeard/MRJPlugin/

Jaguar has its own Java plugin. In earlier versions of Mozilla it clashed with the provided version of the MRJ Plugin. At the moment they don't provide a MRJ Plugin.

If you installed your own MRJ plugin this might be the cause of the problems. Look in about:plugins for multiple Java plugins.
