Thanks a lot for everyone who responded. I really appreciate it.

Ivan, I will be happy to know the changes you made to make 1.3 app work with
1.1.

I am also looking to use HTTPS and realise Sun's JSSE implementation support
JDK 1.2+. Is there any pure Java implementation of JSSE for JDK 1.1?
