True, you can't do a "Reply" and get automatic fill-in. This forces me to
extract and quote a minimum of material, and be somewhat more thoughtful in
writing my replies. I don't think that's a problem.

I'm not sure about breaking threading, since I don't use it. The web-based
Java-dev message-repository seems to thread just fine, though, but I bet
it's threading based on subject-line.
