There's no way to do it in Java alone. You have to resort to external
libraries.

As already mentioned, JConfig is one way. Another way is my open source

See the MountInfo interface and the Environs.getMounted() method.

A Mac OS X implementation is provided, but none for any other platform.
That is left as an exercise for the interested reader.
