Re: where is hwaccel_info_tool?

Duh-uh, sorry about wasting bandwidth after such a feeble search on my part. But strangely it turns out that even though hwaccel is not supported on my machine (TiBook rev 1), TextAreas behave differently if I explicitly set com.apple.hwaccel=false (scrolling of TextArea yields mangled display if original String is later replaced by a much longer String) compared to default or setting hwaccel=true (scrolling OK).

Another of the mysteries of AWT under OS X.

After logging into ADC, click on "Download Software", on the next screen click on "Java", and on the next screen you will find it is the third item in the list (between "Java Speech Framework" and "Java 1.3.1 Update 1").
