I would be surprised if there was no longer support for QT Java as AFAIR there is support for Windwos QT, so it would be like shooting themselves in the foot.

Who said you cannot use Carbon or C++ in JNI? , that would really be surprising, sure it would take a bit of hacking but essentially C++ gets pre-processed to C , Carbon gets called from C, there is nothing to stop you using assembler in JNI really as long as the stubs check out, but I wouldn't recommend it.

As for Cocoa, well I remember reading something recently on Carbon Vs. Cocoa which was quite interesting, though I won't forget that this is a Java list.
