Re: Java 1.4?

Oh man are you going to get hammered for this -- better change your mail address before the flood hits :-/

This comes up very often on the list and gets people all worked up into a lather for a variety of reasons, but the deal is

- Apple has given no official date on when 1.4 (or other pre-release technologies) will be available. That is their policy. Not something worth arguing about here.

- You can get seed builds if you are a member of one of the paying programs in Apple Developer Connection. I believe you will need to join the $500/yr. deal to get the seed build.

- Rumor has it that when a 1.4 version is released, it will be 1.4.1 (i.e., they are skipping 1.4.0 altogether)
