Re: Semi OT: JBoss, Web Service reading

Definitely get "Core J2EE Patterns" by Deepak Alur, John Crupi, and Dan Malks.
Know this book like the back of your hand and your life will be infinitely simpler.

Definitely buy the JBoss documentation (admin and devel guide for 3.0). You can find the links to flashline on their site.

Also, there is a free PDF of "Mastering EJB 2.0" on theserverside.com (buy the book if you like the PDF).

Those three are all my team needed to get rolling (in addition to the specs--of course).
We have JBoss 3.0 in production and all the development is done on Mac OS X :)

Hello,
We currently produce some internet software that uses our own internet
client. I have been asked to make these applications web applications.

I have begun reading on JSP, Servelets, JDBC, Tomcat, and JBoss (a
recommendation). While I am beginning to understand JSP etc I feel I would
really benefit from a list of suggested reading.I'm especially lost when it
comes to JBoss (which is supposed to make everything much easier for me).

If anybody has a reading list to bring me up to speed I would be greatful. I
especially need to understand JBoss, how to use it, how to set it up on OSX,
and how it releates to tools, such as Dreamweaver, that the Web Site guys
want to use.

cheers

Brook Waters
