Re: ScreenMenuBar Dead (!!!) Slow

OK - I did some tests and will rephrase my problem:

My application simply slows down screen menu bars (and probably
overall performance) in general. As long as it is not hidden, all
screen menu bars (e.g. also the finder's menu bar) are so slow
that you can not really work with them any more. When I hide my
app, everything is back to normal again.
I do not get this behaviour with small test apps (but - as I said
- I do not want to release a small test app, I want to release a
real application...). However, I am positive that my app is 100%
pure Java. It runs with acceptable performance under any kind of
Windows, Linux or Unix OS and on machines with (sometimes much)
less than 256 MB.
So: No matter what possible optimizations my app is missing - all
OS except MAC OS X seem to be able to live with it. So what is wrong here?

- Thomas
