You might want to turn off window animation in Idea. Just edit the file ui.Inf.xml in the config directory.


<option name="ANIMATE_WINDOWS" value="false" />

Without window animation Idea (build 626) runs perfectly fine on Mac OS X 10.2. There are some minor bugs, e.g. vertical text is not drawn, but no show stoppers whatsoever.
