Accessing PostgreSQL from Mac-only network

Yes, I did take out the # sign. In fact, I think -i option in starting
postmaster, does just that (overrides).

Installing psql command-line client on the iMac is a good idea. I shall
attempt that.

When you say "Were you able to have your Java client connect to the
server while running locally on the ( iMac ) server machine?", do you
mean can I run my Java Swing application on the Cube? If so, yes, I can
(PostgreSQL is running on the Cube).

I agree, I should seek help in the Postgres world, as this is a setup
issue, not the Java/Swing issue.

Thanks to you and all those gentle people before you.

I think it is time to go to bed, now.
