I use both Eclipse3.1 and Xcode2.1 on OSX10.4 with Apple Jaca5.0 release1.

i'm also using eclpse 3.1 and XCode 2.1, still at java 1.4.x

On Eclipse, I cannot run any swing example...

On Xcode, I can.

If you have any opinion about the trouble, Please give me your advice.

Erro code is below...

2005-07-12 01:58:04.677 java[1283] Apple AWT Java VM was loaded on first thread -- can't start AWT

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.InternalError: Can't start the AWT because Java was started on the first thread.  Make sure StartOnFirstThread is not specified in your application's Info.plist or on the command line

this as nothing to do with your code, a cut'n paste into a new eclipse project was working as expected.
i had also, a year before this complain about "can't start the AWT because Java was started on the first thread" .

my setup :

workspace/
  HelloWorld/
    bin/
      HelloWorldSwing.class
    src/
      HelloWorldSwing.java

that's all and it works without any kind of args to the VM...

hoping this could be of help ;-)

Yvon

PS : no "Info.plist" too...
