You are using a different scaling factor for the Write log statement then the Read log statement. If I make both of them use the same scaling factor as the one used for read I get the following on my G5. Write: 0.855489 Read: 0.182865 I believe that translates into 58.5 MB/s write speed and 273.42 MB/s reads if I read your test code correctly. The write speed is about the maximum for my drive and the read is coming from file cache most likely. -Shawn |
