I don't think the jmfregistry knows about devices registered under
QuickTime. The JMF implementation you're using on Mac OS X is probably the
platform-neutral one (I know of none other), and it knows nothing about any
native devices or platform-specific API like QTJ.
On JMF under Windows, there is Windows-specific native code to access its
native device registry, as I understand it.

If it shows audio devices, it's probably because the JavaSound subsystem
present in 1.4 on Mac OS X is providing the linkage through to the
underlying audio device. There is nothing similar for video devices.

To my knowledge, QTJ and JMF were never integrated nor made interoperable.
They are separate universes.
