1) If an AWT component is heavyweight on Win XP, is it on the Mac
also?
No, you should not rely on this.
2) Is there a third in-between weight-ness on Mac? This is what my
cohorts say that prompted this e-mail. If true, what does this mean?
I remember that once, when I tried to track down a bug, it appeared
to me that the AWT components have Swing components as native peers.
However, maybe someone from Apple can answer this question better.
