I remember that once, when I tried to track down a bug, it
appeared to me that the AWT components have Swing components as
native peers. However, maybe someone from Apple can answer this
question better.
In the current implementation, all AWT components are heavyweight.
I did this with 1.3.1, so this probably has changed.
