Re: Replacement IDE for CodeWarrior?

Thanks Dmitry,

What you can do right now is go to ftp://ftp.metrowerks.com/pub then navigate
to I think it is updates/archives/CWP8 I'm sure you can find it.
With the 8.3 update you only needed it, with 8.2 you need 8.1 installed first."

Thanks for the link. I downloaded 8.2 and 8.3 updates from ftp://ftp.metrowerks.com/pub/updates/archives/CWMacOS8. The CW8_2_Update_Installer seems to work but doesn't seem to actually upgrade anything. The CW8_3_Update_Installer doesn't seem to recognize that my installation was updated either.

I can not see any CW crashing on my Powerbook (10.4.1) it's very stable here

I wish I could say I have such luck on my PB with 10.3.9. If CW was more stable, then I wouldn't be considering a switch.

I think you have "read only" problem because you use files that you copied from windows

These files have lived on my Mac for a while now although they initially came from Windows--why would this issue come and go and be temporarily fixed by restarting CW? Anything I can do at the Finder/CLI level to make these files forget they were created on Windows?

JO
