Re: FileDialog v. JFileChooser v. Aqua



A few people have replied mentioning QuaQua...

QuaQua would be a solution if it was already on the users computer (in 
the right place, right version, etc. etc. etc.). But we're trying to keep 
the software simple as possible, so its not really something we're 
comfortable with on any platform. We're trying to make something that 
'just works'.

Todd suggested Drag & Drop which might be a solution but that would be an 
addition to the existing functionality. He also mentioned requests for 
enhancments to AWT. I'll not going to hold my breath with that in mind.

Thanks again for the suggestions, we'll mull them over and keep what we 
have for the time being...
