Thanks for the pointers Greg. I only program on Java on the mac, so
I have very little experience where to look.
After quickly reading the docs, I think the solution to getting
the Semantic Web address book to work nicely with the rest of OSX
is simply to manipulate the AddressBook database using the given
API. This means that the address book information will be in two
places, probably a good thing anyway.
If anyone has written a JNI wrapper for the AddressBook API, please
let me know.
