I have been having trouble with a commercial Java app completely freezing my Mac. This is a complete, utter, dead freeze - mouse, keyboard, display, sound - everything.
For the first time since this started happening, the computer was able to detect that it WAS happening and when I rebooted, I got a popup to report the problem to Apple.
Unfortunately, the "Send to Apple..." button is greyed out.
Is there any other mechanism for reporting this problem?
Look under /Libraries/Logs/ for a panic.log and open it. Look for an entry with a time stamp related to the event you hit. If you find one then consider reporting it to Apple via one of the following (also let the vendor of the application know).
<http://www.apple.com/macosx/feedback/> (feedback type of bug report) ... or if a developer ... <http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter/>
