counter-advice: there's nothing wrong about developing java with
xcode.
well personally I'm glad to hear that others (who have a lot more weight than me) are advocating Xcode! It's been there for quite a few years now; it does a good job of packaging an app as an OS X bundle; it copes with my java classes and wraps them as a jar; ditto my jnilibs and wraps them as jniXXXlibs; etc, etc.
So what if the code completion isn't super-great! Well, I've learnt to live with that - and was always told that if I really needed it then I wasn't really coding :)
As always, it's a case of cutting the suit to suit the cloth :)
I've been responsible for maintaining an X-platform java application since 1996, and as far as I'm concerned Xcode is making it easier and easier :)
Oh, as always, YMMV ! :)
