Re: How does an app become available as a "default rss reader" for Safari?

I believe the following information has what you're looking for. http://www.xmldatabases.org/WK/blog/ 1154_Handling_URL_schemes_in_Cocoa.item

The code for the Vienna RSS reader is also a really good place to look. http://www.opencommunity.co.uk/vienna2.html

However, I do think that Apple really should publish some kind of information on how to make RSS aggregators compatible with safari; if they want the alternate mac aggregator development communities to make lots of stuff that works with Safari, then putting out this information this is really a priority.

I've researched this as much as I can and can't find any pointers. Does anyone know the procedure for creating an rss reader that Safari recognizes, and then how the hand-off protocol works when Safari detects an RSS feed?

Thanks,
