Hi,
I am wishing to program an embedded sound file player to use within web-browsers (hosted through the apache/tomcat container).
However, I noticed most of the QTJava tutorials in the X-Xode documentation were deprecated.
Can someone point me toward a (preferably Java, definitely OSX) API which would be of use for this situation?

Can you do it with Java Audio? There are lots of examples and FAQs at www.jsresources.org, plus plenty of Java Audio material at java.sun.com.

Except for the difficulty selecting from among input devices I mentioned in a post earlier in the week, I've found that Java Audio works quite nicely on OS X.
