Yet, you are only the second person to ever have reported this to me.

Quaqua is open source and wine ware. You can either contribute the graphite
look to this project or you can send me a bottle of good wine.

I haven't seen floating palette windows in any major windows application (MS
Office, Macromedia Studio, and the like). At least none, that show/hide when
an application looses/gains focus.

No problem. Quaqua currently supports Java 1.3 through 1.5.

These are included image resource files.
AFAIK there is no public API to get Aqua artwork from Mac OS X.
