Re: Can't see separators on Jmenu

About two weeks ago before I went off on vacation I raised the problem of Jmenu separators on OSX. As I was driving it occurred to me that screenable menubar (which I don't set until I've finished a project and am making it into an app) could be the answer. Got back last night to find that I'd just missed Greg's post of 12 Sept to that effect, with the interesting observation that Apple's top-of-screen menubar is implemented as an AWT menubar, and that the pop-up Jmenus would still lack separators. Apparently the only way round for pop-up menus is to use AWT pop-ups (which I thought was a no-no because it mixed heavyweight and lightweight components) or Werner Randelshofer's Quaqua LAF.

Thanks to Greg and all the others who responded to this question, and apologies for what must have seemed rather bad manners in going off on vacation after starting a thread. (Must have been first time I have been out of email contact this long for years.)

I must say that it would be useful if Apple's documentation, as well as describing how to do the screenable menu bars and making the point that they are de rigeur for an Apple LAF, also mentioned the separator problem you would get if you ignored their advice, and addressed the pop-up menu question.
