Josh,

Those are excellent points and I agree with most of them.  The main
reason I think Apple is working on Java 6 is that it would be (in my
mind) entirely stupid for them not to be.  The only other reason would
be summed up by a quote from General Waverly in the movie White
Christmas where he said:

"If there's one thing I learned in the Army, it's to always be
positive... especially when you have no idea what you are talking
about."

I'm 90% certain that Apple have abandoned Java <rest deleted for
cleanliness>
