Apple engineers can do nothing to report your requests to upper
management at Apple. They do not talk to upper management. Instead,
they talk to their own manager, who one presumes believes that
shipping Java 6 is a good thing. What do we expect him to do that he
is not already doing?

Upper management at Apple does not listen to the Java engineers, save
very rarely. Upper management at Apple lives in its own little world
- if you want to change that, you have to get the message to them
where they are, because it sure as HELL is not on this list.

Apple engineers can tell their manager and their evengalist about your
wishes for MacOS X Java. And that does precisely as much good as
jumping up and down naked on Apple's front lawn screaming profanity,
shortly before being terminated, and getting dragged off by the
cupertino police department. Their manager already knows that people
want his product. Further, he knows that the engineers know it.

What Greg, Alexi, Dean, Ross, and others are saying is that all of our
complaints here do precisely no good, because the people who could act
on them do not read java-dev, and do not want to.

Instead, build your business case, or organize your letter writers, or
call your lawyer, and have them contact someone who can DO SOMETHING
about the problem. Impact sales, get the business people to see that
there are lost sales, or potential markets.
