i have been unsubscribed for a long time. i was wondering if there
are any news regarding Java 6 for Tiger / Leopard... i don't really
understand why there seems to be a "no information" policy, i think
it is really unhealthy for the development community. i come back
right now since i urgently wait for a release that currently speaks
"The first open source “alpha” release of [...] is currently
complete, but is awaiting a usable, official version of Java 6 on Mac
OS X from Apple. Expect more details soon.", that thing is already
months old. why is it so difficult for apple to say either "yes we
will release java 6 in spring" or "no we dropped the java 6
development"? and in the latter case, why don't they put the stuff
that deals with cocoa (i guess AWT) open source, so smart developers
can hammer together that thing?
thanks for hints! ciao, -sciss-
