Re: SoyLatte AWT/Swing

My plan for Quaqua, is to first finish the missing UI delegates's for Tiger before I do any work on Leopard.

For Tiger, there is not that much missing anymore, just SliderUI, ProgressBarUI and InternalFrameUI. I have already started with SliderUI. Hopefully I'll have a release with a QuaquaSliderUI ready till the end of the year.

Let me know, if there is someone on this list having time and interest to play around with HITheme over the holidays!
Leopard's resolution independence poses a new challenge for Swing look and feels. So, I think many UI delegates need to be rewritten or at least adapted for it. Therefore, I would greatly appreciate any help with it.

Agreed -- I think that AWT peers implemented using Swing make the most sense. Werner Randelshofer's plan for Quaqua/Swing is to render components using HITheme, and there doesn't seem much value in doing that *and* trying to implement native AWT peers.
