Ink crashing Java apps? (was Re: Starting Eclipse 3.3 on Java SE 6 Developer Preview 8)

Thanks for the feedback, I realized this after some googling. Netbeans 6 would not work either, but after about 5 hours of debugging I figured out the Handwriting Recognition set to on in the Ink program will cause AWT-Appkit to crash.

Is this with Java 6 or Java 5? That's the first I've heard of such a problem, so a bug report would be greatly appreciated. Support for Ink in Java apps was something we demoed a long time ago when we first moved the AWT to Cocoa.

If it's something as simple as 'Turn on Ink and your Java app crashes when you write on a tablet' I can write up a bug; otherwise, a test case would be helpful, too.

Thanks,
Scott
