Tomcat and Mac OS X Server v10.5

Hi

I am deploying a test java app using tomcat. I enabled Tomcat -no JBoss, from the Admin app, installed my app and everything works well. I wanted my connection to be https -ie using TLS, so I uncommented the server.xml to allow ssl connector. I generate the selg signed certificate and ... could it make it work. I looked at the tomcat docs and tired a couple of variation on the server.xml but no luck. Everytime I try https://localhost:8443 I get nutin' but http://localhost:8443 works -though it shouldn't. I am missing something simple. Has anyone configure os x server with ssl and tomcat?
