Yes, I was thinking of Amit Singh's code, but he doesn't allow
redistribution, so any use of it would have to be for personal use only.
Or you'd have to manually direct users how to get and install it.

your message reminded me that I wanted to share what I did some weeks ago; based on the unimotion sudden motion sensor library code I also created a JNI library to read that data. I now posted the code at

At the time when I needed this, I was not aware of any Java solution, so I wrapped it up myself. I'd appreciate if some of those on the list with Apple laptops could try the motion sensor integration into our geometry and physics simulation software Cinderella; instructions are available at
