unfortunately I can't reply about how to get some useful feedback - something similar happened also to me time ago and I did by trial and error.
BTW, do you use $APP_PACKAGE in your Info.plist? My problem was related to the fact that it gets expanded only if it's at the very beginning of a text element (issue #4577367).
