Try going straight from R1 to R4, skipping R3 entirely. I'm pretty sure
that's all I ever put on my PPC box. As I vaguely recall, R2 was never a
public release. I think I read that in R3 release notes or something.
BTW, I think J2SE5R4 requires 1.4.2 Update2, i.e. an updated version of
1.3/1.4, so put that on the media, too. Um, maybe that's what the R3 is
complaining about.
