There is a J2ME development environment in NetBeans. I don't know how
useful it is: apparently there are not many (or even any?) emulators
which work on the Mac, which limits the Mac as a development platform.
I wonder anyway whether J2ME would be powerful enough for a iPhone or
similar device: my perception of J2ME is that it is dimensioned for
the limitations for olde worlde mobile phones.
