Re: Using the Character Palette

How is your application receiving the characters? Clicks on characters in the character palette show up as input method events, not key events. It's odd, though, that you say it works when running from Eclipse and not in a bundled application.

If you file a bug I can look into why events aren't being sent to your component.

My application is processing characters directly, not using a JTextPane. The characters are painted into a graphics image. I would like to accept characters from the Character Palette. This seems to work fine when running from eclipse, but when I package my application, it no longer works.

I persume there is some service I need to start, or something of the sort. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
